Stop on the object / move on the image

Stop on the object / move on the image is a collaborative, site transformative performance work set in the Philadelphia Museum of Art against their Brancusi collection. The new work was included in the museum’s Final Friday programming on March 29th, 2019.

An immersive performance, featuring a collage of readings by Marie Hinson, Laura Neuman, and Sekai’afua Zankel and durational movement by Vitche-Boul Ra and myself inside a videoscape and live, improvised sound score by Hinson, Stop on the object/move on the image examined temporality, liveness, and mythic creature-dom alongside questions of collections and Brancusi's work - both full of body and absent of subject - spiritual, dogmatic, and aggressive.
